Composting Classes

Why spend money on potting soil, fertilizers, and other items for your garden when you can make your own for free, by composting waste you already have? Turn your scraps into rich soil for planting. The Waste Authority will hold 4 composting classes this year. They will be held the second Saturday of May, June, September, and October. All classes will take place at their facility in Blakeslee. The cost is $25 to register per class which is instructed by a certified Master Gardener.  Every participant will go home with a backyard composter valued at $99!  Classes start at 9:00 am and will last approximately ½ an hour to 1 hour. In order to participate, you must register with the Monroe County Waste Authority.
