Mount Pocono Awarded $5,000 from One For Nature for Knob Overlook Trail Project

Posted on March 10, 2025

Mount Pocono Borough has been awarded a $5,000 grant from One For Nature to support the creation of a new trail near the Knob Overlook. This project will create access to a trail that allows residents and visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains. This is the second consecutive year that One For Nature has supported the Knob Overlook. Last year, their funding helped install directional signage, highlighting the area’s significance and breathtaking views. Their continued investment in Mount Pocono’s outdoor spaces underscores a shared commitment to conservation and expanding opportunities for outdoor recreation.
“We are grateful to One For Nature for their ongoing support of this project,” said Borough Manager Marissa Duffy. “With this grant, we can create a trail that enhances the visitor experience while preserving the natural landscape of the overlook.” The Knob Overlook Trail project is part of Mount Pocono’s broader initiative to improve public access to green spaces. The trail will feature sustainable design elements and educational signage, offering a scenic and engaging route for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Mount Pocono Borough looks forward to breaking ground on the trail this year, thanks to the generosity of One For Nature and their dedication to protecting and enhancing Pennsylvania’s outdoor spaces.
